Just had my ICU follow up appt with the ITU consultant & specialist nurse. After two admissions to ICU with sepsis this year, it was the best feeling being able to tell them that I’m back at uni & enjoying my 2nd year as a student nurse. @UKSepsisTrust@SepsisUK@FrimleyHealth
So proud to have been one of the student nurses from @UniWestLondon @UWL_CNMH @uwl_SNMH at the #FundOurFuture campaign and debate that took place in Westminster today. Huge thanks to @theRCN and @Eleanor_SmithMP for a perfectly executed speech.
Only months ago were NURSES working round the clock to keep me alive. Without their robust knowledge & HIGHLY skilled competencies I would have died. It was the NURSES who were monitoring me 24 hours a day, setting up the ventilator, heamofiltration & cardiovascular support!!
In July this year, I could have so easily been one of 44,000 people who sadly lose their lives to sepsis. Thanks to the incredible staff & care I received in @FrimleyHealth 's A&E & ICU - I survived! & I'm about to start my second year of university as a student nurse! @SepsisUK
I can’t beliveve this time last week I was in intensive care fighting for my life, my family told the worst. With the incredible care I received from the NHS I pulled through & was extubated a few days later & today i’m sat writing my reflection as a first year student nurse.
@DannGooding @Nurse_Lecturer @CraigDavidson85 @JeepersMcCoy @GGByrne@Ewout1985 @MichaelWardRN @AAMN_Nursing@TheNurseDoc @StNurseProject @RCNStudents@WeNurses @CharlotteRCN Also, the government stated that the removal of the bursary was to ensure more spaces for students - anyone in their right mind could have said this was never going to work. Now they can afford to train NA’s to become RN’s being paid throughout all of their training?!
“There are so many different opportunities to explore and so many different specialisms that you can go into.” @Ewout1985 is a student children’s nurse. Make sure you #KnowAboutNursing https://t.co/egUNdb56MK

Which one do you think is breached the most?
Do you think it’s right that many homeless people can’t get access to healthcare in the community because they don’t have a permenant address, or sometimes even a form of ID? Therefore they are forced to go to a&e
Dementia care is so important and we need to get involved in dementia care @victischler talking about the imagination cafe! Care research in dementia is only 5% of all research in dementia! #dementia#StNProject
