At the Women’s Movement Press Conference, @uwonet joined partners in calling for gender equity, democratic accountability, and ethical leadership as the 12th Parliament of Uganda organizes its leadership structures.
“We are seeking parity, equity, and development. One person’s mistake should not be used against 50% of the population,” noted Rita Aciro, ED @uwonet. Over the years, women leaders have established a standard of leadership that continues to shape expectations for future women leaders.
Article 33(4) of the Constitution guarantees women equal opportunities in political, economic, and social life. The Women’s Movement stands united in advancing inclusive and accountable governance.
