The University of Washington TBIMS is one of 16 model system centers funded by NIDILRR to improve care and outcomes for those who have experienced a TBI.
I-HEAL's Community Engagement Core held an impactful session that started with our Lived Experience Partner, David, presenting on the intersection of military culture and traumatic brain injury. Afterward, the LEP group had a Question and Answer session with all attendees.
The CEC ended with a lively engagement activity that asked participants to give direct messages and advice or “What we want you to know” to groups within the I-HEAL project (clinicians, policymakers, lived experience partners, and researchers on the grant.)
