My birthday was marked by the opening of the Alhaji Musa Saleh Islamic Research Centre, performed by H.E Abba Kabir Yusuf. And the traditional colloquium that followed in the afternoon.

The Islamic Centre, which was built to commemorate my late father, will contribute to the training of students under the Tsangaya system to imbibe western education. - RMK

Today, I joined Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, the Emirs of Kano, Bichi and Rano, and other distinguished individuals at the send-forth ceremony for 1,001 indigenes of Kano, whom are departing for various destinations to pursue postgraduate studies under sponsorship of the Kano State Government.

I commend Gov. Abba and his team for replicating the noble initiative we initiated during our administration. As I remarked at the event, I am sleeping a fulfilled father today. - RMK

It was fulfilling to flag-off the distribution of teaching and learning materials to primary and secondary schools in Kano State, today.

The materials, which include 3 million books, school uniforms, bags, sandal shoes, writing materials, and computers among others, were distributed to improve the standard of education in the state.

I also presented the cheque of 450,000,000 (four hundred and fifty million) Naira to the beneficiaries of the BESDA program, with assurance of automatic permanent and pensionable job offers in the near future. - AKY

A wannan Rana ta Litinin (16th, Oct. 2023) muna cike da farin ciki, ganin yadda mu ka kaddamar da rabon kayan karatu ga 'yan makarantar Primary da Secondary na Jihar Kano.

Wannan kayan Karatun sun hada da litattafai guda miliyan uku da Uniform da Jaka da Takalma da kayan rubutu da Na'ura me Kwakwalwa (Computers) da sauransu, duk mun raba su ne dan su taimaka wajen inganta Ilimi a Jihar Kano.

Sannan na gabatar da cheque na kudi kimanin miliyan Dari Hudu da Hamsin (N450million) ga wadanda suke tsarin BESDA Program, tare da tabbatar musu da samun Aiki na din-din-din nan bada jimawa ba, bayan mun gama tantance su.

We were joined by our National Leader, Sen. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, the Executive Governor of Jigawa State, H.E Umar Namadi, Islamic clerics, and other distinguished individuals at a special reception for our 1,800 newly wedded couples.

I admonished the celebrants to live peacefully in accordance with the teachings of Islam. - AKY

Glad to be at the reception organised for the 1800 couples by the State Government, at the Open Theatre in Kano Government House on Saturday.

Harping on counsels by different scholars and leaders at the event, I admonished the couples to live together harmoniously.

I also commend the political commitment demonstrated by Gov. Abba Yusuf for making the exercise, and other socio-oriented initiatives a reality. - RMK

A significant milestone in fulfilling our pledge to promote cultural traditions and social cohesion was achieved today, as we formalised the matrimonial union of 3,600 men and women in Kano.

Providing the couples with a memorable and cost-effective way to formalise their unions was a major promise we made to the electorate during our campaigns, and I am happy, that has been attained today.

The Kano State Hisbah Commission will continue to monitor the newly weds, and support for them will be provided by the government.

I congratulate the families on this important day. And I hope to see more noble milestones. - AKY

Happy to witness the joining of 3,600 men and women in matrimony, today in Kano.

This union marks the continuation of one of the symbolic efforts by the Kwankwasiyya movement to promote social cohesion, and to cement moral values in Kano State.

I congratulate the newly wed couples. And I express my deepest gratitude to the Kano State Government, led by Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for solidifying an important brainchild of my second administration in the State. - RMK

Earlier in Kano, l paid a condolence visit to the family of Alhaji Bello Maitama Yusuf, a former Minister and Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, who passed away today.

The seasoned administrator and scholar will be missed by all. May the Almighty Allah grant him Jannatul Firdaus. - RMK
