I took a decision not to get involved in politics because from my experience growing up in a political home, politicians can blackball you. I have tried my hustle away from my dad and his political friends, I never even allow him to solicit business for me. But the political intolerance in this country will follow you no matter how much you run away from it. I write this as a woman, an HR Consultant, a potential voter and a citizen. Doors have closed, I have lost business unexpectedly, because politicians have the power to ensure citizens suffer. Political parties are allowing their citizens to be bullied and barred from getting any business while they claim they stand for the people and want to empower citizens. A party that has it political leaders bragging on social media about ensuring people don’t get business are in it with them. Those people belong to a system and that party is incubating that because economic control is how you tow people in line who you feel are not for you. Yesterday I was bombarded by calls and inboxes because a @TheOfficialBDP activist was bragging about ensuring I don’t get business. I’m a powerless citizen, I tried helping with unemployment issues that are a thorn to my country. My government trained me as an HR Consultant and I took pride in being a helping hand when in comes to unemployment issues. It must be nice being powerful. Anyway, le Mpatiseng tiro, when politicians decide to make your life hell they will. Kana le tiro you guys will make sure I don’t get it? Your talk about empowering women is a facade if this is what you guys are housing. Keep your citizens poor so that they appreciate the breadcrumbs. Absolute power corrupts. I don’t aspire to take political office because I don’t want my kids to experience being a child politician’s child as politicians will use you as collateral damage with no care and no remorse. I come from one of the poorest regions in this country, children from there need inspiration. They need to see people like us who grew up with them becoming something so that they can know their dreams are validated. I represent a minority called women and I have loved inspiring them. But your inspiration is ending, maybe you were inspired by something that isn’t possible because here am I. People like us will pay the rest of our lives for being born in polical homes, it’s a curse that doesn’t go away. I come here and joke, Ke rumula banna and laugh while I battle systems bigger than me. Rona re a le tshaba bathong, I have 3 kids to feed and they have nothing to do with the fact that their grandfather is a politician. I have unemployed people whose lives get shuttered when things go south with explanations

My dearest 30. The last 10 years with you has been nothing short of amazing. You've been good to me in more ways than you can imagine. It pains me that its now time to go our separate ways. For the next 40 days i will be saying my goodbyes. #goodbye30
@orangebw Hello Orange. I noticed you put a caller tune on my phone. I know its free for 7 days and I most appreciate the gesture, but I don't need it. How do I remove it? If you could be so kind and remove it from your end, I would most appreciate.
In Europe, broken English is no indication of how less smart someone is, it’s just evidence they speak a different mother tongue. Wish I could say the same for Africa
