@SUNYouthNetNig participated in the 2nd Quarter National Nutrition Technical Working Group (NNTWG) Meeting from 24 - 25 June, 2026 at Top Rank Galaxy Hotels Abuja in Abuja.
Represented by our Team Lead, @uzaifa100, we joined Govt MDAs, devt partners, and nutrition stakeholders
🚨 DAY 3 — 14 DAYS MEDIA ADVOCACY CAMPAIGN
Nutrition funds should save lives — not disappear without accountability.
Citizens deserve to know:
✅ How much is allocated
✅ When funds are released
✅ Where the money goes
✅ The impact these investments are making in communities
Nutrition is a right, not a choice. Yet, millions of Nigerian children and vulnerable communities continue to suffer because nutrition policies are not legally enforced at the state level.
We urge lawmakers across all states to:
✅ Domesticate national nutrition policies
🚨 DAY 2 — 14 DAYS MEDIA ADVOCACY CAMPAIGN 🚨
Approving nutrition budgets is important, but approval alone cannot save lives. Funds meant for nutrition interventions must be released promptly to ensure vulnerable children and communities receive the support they urgently need.
📢LAUNCHING TODAY: 14 DAYS MEDIA ADVOCACY CAMPAIGN ON NUTRITION
Millions of Nigerian children are still suffering from malnutrition, stunted growth, poor learning outcomes, and preventable illnesses because nutrition is not receiving the attention and funding it deserves.
“I felt powerless and constantly exhausted from hunger.”
Now, @FinianAli is urging Parliamentarians to back the Child Nutrition Fund to help protect children from malnutrition in Nigeria and beyond. Read his story: https://t.co/Dtj8raqbBH

For decades, Nigeria’s approach to drug use has largely been punitive—focused on arrests, incarceration, and punishment. Yet the evidence is mounting: criminalization alone doesn’t reduce drug use or improve public safety.

We need a humane, health-based drug policy—one that prioritizes treatment, not jail.
Criminalization has failed. Let’s adopt cost-effective, rights-based solutions that treat people with dignity.

Over 14 million Nigerians use drugs, and 376,000 inject—facing high risks of HIV & hepatitis. Yet only 1 in 8 who need treatment gets help.
Nigeria’s current drug policy focuses on punishment, not care fueling stigma, prison overcrowding & fear.
Fresh perspectives from @uzaifa100:
Punitive drug policies drain resources without addressing the problem of drug abuse.
He says "Harm Reduction approach saves lives and reduces societal cost."
