📰PRESS RELEASE: Over 200 Participants and 80 Speakers to Gather in Berlin for the Third International Uyghur Forum

"As recognition of the crimes against Uyghurs grows, accountability remains elusive. The third International Uyghur Forum will bring together global voices to discuss how to turn recognition into action." - said WUC President @TurgunjanAlawd3.
‘’In a world where authoritarian governments increasingly cooperate across borders, defenders of human rights must do the same. The IUF provides a unique opportunity to strengthen partnerships, share expertise, and advance meaningful action in support of the Uyghur people," said UZDM President @Dolkun_Isa.
On the 37th anniversary of the #Tiananmen Square Massacre, @Dolkun_Isa, President of the UZDM, honored the victims of June 4 and called for accountability.
“For #Uyghurs, Tiananmen was a turning point that paved the way for the repression we face today. We must never forget the victims and continue the pursuit of justice.”

The cancellation of RightsCon in Zambia under pressure from China highlights the growing reality of economic colonialism and transnational repression.
UZDM President @Dolkun_Isa’s latest piece examines how economic dependency can threaten democracy, human rights, and free expression.

WUC, in collaboration with @uzdm_ev, is organizing #IUF2026 and is pleased to announce its esteemed speakers:
Adam King, International Republican Institute @IRIglobal@EvaBiaudet, MP Finland
PD Dr. Michael Reinhard Heß, Turkologist and translator
🚨While a former Chinese police officer has come forward with undeniable evidence of the Uyghur genocide, Chinese representatives at the UN slandered UZDM President @Dolkun_Isa—labelling him a “separatist” and “terrorist” for raising the Uyghur issue at the forum.
It is inconceivable to witness members of our community having to still live in constant darkness. Disappeared for simply being siblings of Uyghur advocate @Dolkun_Isa.
It is incumbent on us to call for their release!
📆50 days to go until the International Uyghur Forum!
If you’d like to participate, please fill out the form on the IUF website.

📌Today, we mark the birthday of #YalkunIsa—a teacher, a brother, and one of the many Uyghurs whose life has been taken by enforced disappearance.
Yalkun Isa, the brother of @Dolkun_Isa, UZDM President and former @UyghurCongress President, is believed to be serving a 20-year sentence on fabricated charges—punished not for a crime, but because of his brother’s peaceful advocacy.
Birthdays are meant to be celebrated with family. For the Isa family, it is another painful reminder of absence. We remember Yalkun Isa today—and we demand his immediate release.
I am New York at the UN Headquarters.
Just picked up my badge.
In 2017–2018, I was expelled from this very forum under pressure from China.
Today, I walked back in—no obstruction.
Voices that are pushed out do not disappear.
Now it’s time to speak again—this time from inside.
Our WUC and @uzdm_ev delegation had very productive meetings today, both at the 🇫🇷 Senate and National Assembly.
The delegation met with Senator @antoinetteguhl , Senator @yannickjadot and Senator @Senateur_Salmon and thanked them for their public support on the Uyghur issue and briefed them on recent developments in East Turkistan.
🇫🇷Today in Paris, UZDM President and @uyghurcongress team met with long-time supporter @faureolivier
During the meeting, UZDM President @Dolkun_Isa, presented a French-language copy of his book.
The case of Hushtar and Yalkun Isa stands not only for the fate of two brothers. It is emblematic of the suffering of countless Uyghurs and other minorities oppressed by Beijing, as well as persecuted democracy and human rights activists.
Dolkun Isa is a leading advocate for the rights of the #Uyghurs, who are being systematically oppressed by the Chinese state apparatus.
To this day, their relatives have received no official information as to whether they are still alive.
