@benlcollins Depends on the task but in general I use Pivot Table in sheets having generated the data using SQL on the backend

Data engineering is moving the data you need for your pivot table.

Analytics engineering is shaping your data so it can be used by your pivot table.

Metrics layer definition is deciding what the calculated fields will be in your pivot tables.
