This week I had a meeting with UNWTO secretary-general Mr. Zurab Pololikashvili and the director for Europe, Ms. Alessandra Priante on the sidelines of the ongoing 8th UNWTO World Forum on Gastronomy Tourism in Spain where they promised to include Zimbabwe in all UNWTO programmes so that it benefits from the body’s support programmes. They paid tribute to the strides we have made in boosting tourism development.

Today, the Zimbabwe delegation took time to market destination Zimbabwe on the sidelines of the UNWTO Gastronomy Tourism Forum in Donostia-San Sebastian City, Spain.
There was a friendly vibe amongst the delegates as they danced to the Zimbabwean music until their feet hurt.

@pololikashvili Present also was the Minister of Tourism and Hospitality Industry Hon Barbara Rwodzi, Zimbabwe Ambassador to France and Spain Mrs Shoniwa, University of Zimbabwe Vice Chancellor Professor Paul Mapfumo and the Director for UNWTO Europe, Ms. Alessandra Priante.

@pololikashvili The Patron appreciated and thanked the United Nations World Tourism Organisation for organising the 8th UNWTO GASTRONOMY FORUM, a very important forum, where people are meeting as nations to share ideas, skills and knowledge on promoting local cuisines.
