Ronaldo has no World Cup, has never played in a World Cup final, and at 41 is well past his best. After losing, as has become his custom these days, he subtly suggested that his European Championship, which he did not score in the final by the way, was equivalent to a World Cup. Only after he lost, mind you. Is that really the man you expect me to lose sleep over? A 41 year-old man-child who believes football begins and ends with shouting “Siuuu” and showing off his six-pack? Come on. Messi completed football in 2022. He has a World Cup, two Golden Balls, and, truth be told, could easily have had a third yesterday had he not, uncharacteristically, had an off day. It changes nothing anyway.
