It’s incredible to me how people have moved on from this. It still stands as a reminder of the worst tragedy in London’s modern history and it feels like it has been totally swept under the rug

Especially women. We can wake up one day & all our rights will be taken away on a whim but never for men. The Afghan women went to bed one night & woke up the next day as slaves in their own homes & it haunts me everyday.
Mad we don't learn about how King Leopold II of Belgium killed over 10 million Black people, Churchill murdered 3 million Indians, British transported 3.1 million Africans during the British Slave Trade, but we know how many wives Henry VIII had. 💀
Today marks 5 years since Folajimi ‘Jimi’ Olubunmi-Adewole, 20, died after heroically attempting to save a woman from drowning in the River Thames in what was described as an act of sheer bravery.
