I normally don't engage with K-pop discourse because I genuinely find it bland, irrelevant to me, and a complete waste of time. But sometimes I come across videos of K-pop artists claiming to have paved the way, and I'm genuinely left baffled by the sheer shamelessness of it all.

What makes me laugh is that their body language is so telling. They don't even seem convinced by their own claims; it's almost as if they're trying to convince themselves. I don't get angry watching this. I genuinely feel sorry for them.

Because constantly deluding yourself into believing you've achieved something you haven't leads to an inflated ego, an inability to accept constructive criticism, and eventually, stagnation. And this is precisely how you cultivate a toxic community that spends more time meddling in others' business and harassing people than actually improving itself.
