"Until Album of the Year, Record of the Year and Song of the Year fields consistently reflect the full range of what's dominating global culture, no amount of category engineering, adding or cutting, will make artists believe the room they're being offered isn't a smaller room."
🐨 and whatever’s next, armys, i want to stay positive. i will never take this love for granted. i hope you had a great time tonight. i love you so much!
Last night was an important day in the history of ARMY and BTS.
I am so proud of both, proud to be part of such a massive but multicultural, multiracial and multi-aged group of people who will always choose music and love as our unifying language.
So proud. 💜
Someone go back in time to tell 17 yo old Gloss and 15 yo old Runch Randa that THE NAS is gonna attend THEIR concert in the future and even click pictures with them backstage,,
Stadium after stadium sold out. Worldwide.
Hundreds of thousands of fans singing. In Korean. Regardless of nationality.
A gilded gramophone? Meaningless.
Traditional Arirang at each concert, crescendoing up, out, & beyond, ARMY as one voice? Priceless.
You can't fake Impact.
🍿 Been hearing "western validation" from kpoppies for a decade.
BTS walked away from the table.
Now I'm just waiting to see which fandom races to celebrate the Academy's shiny new "know your place" category first.
@sugatradamus@BTS_twt Same huhu i was kicked 4x during payment processing and this isnt the first time it happened to me
This happened during d1 and d2 ticketing as well always during payment processing

My friends were told they exceeded max # of tickets bought but not one have been able to secure even 1 ticket
Can't wait for the @RecordingAcad to announce:
Best North American, English-Speaking European and UK Pop Performance
Because if Asian artists need a dedicated category, then surely artists from the US, Canada, UK and Europe should as well.
Unless, of course, the point is to keep calling one group "Asian" and the other group "normal."
