Shisha Smoking and Public Health.

Mr.@kamyakasozi thank you for this information .@KCCAUG reminds the public that shisha smoking was banned under the Public Health Act through the Control of Smoking Regulations, 2016. The law prohibits importation, sale, and use of shisha pipes due to severe health risks.

KCCA enforcement teams continue to apprehend offenders and seize shisha pots at points of source and use. These actions safeguard community health, as harmful substances affect the wider public.

Offenders will continue to be prosecuted, and confiscated items will not be returned. Compliance protects lives and strengthens Kampala’s commitment to a healthier, safer city.
