A depiction of the slave trade was staged on Juneteenth outside a fortress in Accra that once served as a hub for transporting slaves. Ghana has been hosting a conference there that aims to advance the UN resolution that declared slavery the 'gravest crime against humanity'.
What makes The Four-Way Test unique?
"It doesn’t bark orders at you; it asks questions. It invites us to search for our own answers and constantly examine our own behavior. It’s also broad and inclusive, highlighting values of truth and fairness that resonate across every culture and religion." - Haresh L. Ramchandani

In today's standard paper, I ask;
1. Given that a judge holds office by reason of his capacity to reason, can a judge then err in reasoning?
2. I ask whether a judge is permitted to use a particular school of jurisprudence as a fixed and determinative position
3. Does the constitution combine the various schools of legal reasoning (jurisprudence)?
4. Does the constitution have a framework for legal reasoning (a basic structure for reasoning)?

The best thing you can do for yourself as a Nigerian is to use that internet connection of yours while you still can, and follow/read/watch information from a wide variety of sources from all over the world.
Your Nigerian media is a Europe-US information cage. When I say "Nigerian media", I'm not just talking about news platforms. I mean your popular social media bloggers. Your big content aggregators. Your online discussion and image boards. Everything is bought and paid for, and the money is always European or American.
Do yourself a favour and unplug.
Look for news, web content, TV series, movies and discussion forums from Asia, Latin America and other parts of Africa. Watch Brazilian TV shows. Watch Chinese documentaries. Watch Vietnamese movies. Follow social media content creators from Indonesia and Russia. Lurk on Pakistani message boards. Gain a wider picture of the world while you still have access to a relatively open internet that allows you to do so.
It's the best thing you can do for yourself.

Civil society is already watching what happens on the ground. You see when a project is announced and when it quietly stalls. You hear what communities experience long after reports are written.
Our Monitoring of Agenda 2063 Toolkit supports civil society to monitor #Agenda2063 with more clarity, using indicators, evidence, and practical steps to engage in @_AfricanUnion processes in a way that is consistent and credible.
We created it because Agenda 2063 cannot be tracked from reports alone, and progress is not measured by completion but by impact. #CivilSociety is closest to that impact.
This toolkit helps translate what you already see and document into evidence that carries weight, connects across countries, and contributes to a clearer picture of how implementation is actually unfolding.

“On #WorldMeteorologicalDay, we are reminded that climate resilience begins with knowledge our ability to observe, anticipate, and act in time.
Through the African Space Agency and key initiatives such as GMES & Africa and the Africa–EU Space Partnership Programme, the African Union is strengthening the use of Earth observation and space-based technologies to enhance early warning systems, support disaster risk reduction, and improve the management of our environment and natural resources.
In doing so, we are helping Member States respond more effectively to climate risks, protect vulnerable communities, safeguard livelihoods, and conserve biodiversity. Ultimately, this is about building an Africa that is better informed, better prepared, and more resilient for the future.”
A message from H.E. Dr Tidiane Ouattara , President of the Space Council, African Union @AfSA_AU Agency
As Africa’s cities continue to expand, the need for safe, affordable, and sustainable housing is becoming more urgent.
In response to this growing challenge, #Kenya will host the 2nd African Urban Forum (AUF2) in Nairobi from 8–10 April 2026 under the theme: “Adequate Housing for All: Advancing Socio-economic and Environmental Transformation towards the Realization of Agenda 2063.”
The Forum will spotlight housing as more than a social need. It is a key enabler of economic growth, human dignity, environmental sustainability, and inclusive urban development. AUF2 will serve as a platform to advance dialogue, partnerships, and action towards building cities that are more resilient, productive, and aligned with the aspirations of Agenda 2063.

I have been saying it for years that “education investment policy” is the biggest legal and regulated fraud in Kenya.
1. It’s sold as an INVESTMENT, yet it’s actually a policy that when you stop paying you lose everything. I personally lost 900k to the same britam after contributing 30k a month for about 3 years.
2. It’s something that requires policy and legislative intervention. IRA should insist that insurance sells only protection and CMA should insist that any insurance selling investments brings it under the CMA umbrella.
3. The premium towards protection should be forfeited but the investment piece should not be forfeited
4. Insurance companies should disclose how much income is coming from forfeited premiums.
