Someone needs to make a flagship plastic phone so I can stop being scared to use it naked without a case. Plus it would be lighter.

Everyone is just covering their glass and metal phones with cases anyway.

@GergelyOrosz BTW I’m not suggesting Google could have created RN, or Meta created Flutter, that’s a whole different rabbit hole.

Just that the demographics of adoption are completely based on the characteristics of the technology and APIs, and unrelated to what company made them.

@GergelyOrosz Put another way: if Google invented RN and Meta invented Flutter, you’d see the opposite pattern. Google would use RN across various bigger apps, Flutter would be still used in smaller apps.

Don’t conflate the owning org with the tech characteristics of the platform.
