We're so excited that the video by @FreshGroundFilm about our ground breaking @EPSRC funded @uniofexeter facility is now ready to view! To find out more about our capabilities and the #biomedical#research we support please check it out here: https://t.co/cKiLwpMXVd
We're delighted to be collaborating with @uniofwarwick on a brand new engineering-related project. Data collection is underway for Pedestrian evaluation of structural vibration (aka SENSATION), which is funded by the @HorizonEU MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowship - UK Guarantee scheme
We're pleased to announce a cutting-edge project with Research Fellow Sonia from the @ExeterBRC. Mind the Gap will see how people respond to challenging situations by studying postural responses in immersive environments. Learn more about the project at: https://t.co/eAcogKqkLz
We hosted engineering A-level students from all over the South West in a schools outreach visit. The students experienced being on a train and a boat via our moving floor, explored underneath the platform and took part in three group tasks using the sensors and force plates.
We're delighted to announce Sandy Beer as our new Chief Operating Officer. Sandy joins us from Ohio and will work closely with our Director, Prof Sallie Lamb to collaboratively shape and deliver our strategy and day-to-day operations.

Also worth celebrating the news that @Yr_Russo has just secured another Research Fellow position here at @ExeterBRC to continue his work on ageing, Parkinson's and falls for another 4 years! @ERC_Research@SallieLamb18
@UniofExeter, in partnership with the @RoyalDevonNHS, have been successful in our bid for £3m of government funding to form the HealthTech Research Centre for Sustainable Innovation based in Exeter.

Our Senior Experimental Officer James and Experimental Officer Garry were at @NIRx_NIRS in Berlin, learning how to use wearable device NIRSport 2, which uses Functional Near-Infrared Spectroscopy for brain imaging. This will be used for research at our @UniofExeter facility
We have 2 PhD studentships to work on an ERC funded project led by @SallieLamb18 We will simulate situations where older adults often fall @v_simulators
1 PhD will focus on biomechanics & the other on the influence of sensory integration & cognition on balance/gait. DL=2nd April
Congratulations to Professors Vicki Goodwin and G.J. Melendez-Torres, both named as NIHR Senior Investigators today!

CFCM's Experimental Officer Joe attended the Powerboat 2 Training Course at @SeaSports_SW. This training will support our projects around alternatively powered boats.
Alongside Joe, this course was also attended by James Bassitt from @v_simulators and Kirsty Frith in @CREWW_uk.
#PhD opportunity to join a world-leading falls prevention research team on prestigious STEPPING OUT project led by @SallieLamb18 & work with experimental psychologists, biomechanists, physiotherapists and mathematicians at #ExeterBRC

Well done to #PhD student Nimmy Abraham, an Engineering category finalist in @STEM4Brit. She was at the House of Commons yesterday to present a poster of her abstract about using VSimulators @UniofExeter to explore the dynamics of rhythmic jumping subjected to vertical vibrations
We are exploring the effects of anxiety on balance in simulated environments such as trains, developing a protocol to be applied to patient groups such as older people concerned about falling, people with Parkinson's @ParkinsonsUK and people with multiple sclerosis
We're supporting a PhD student project to look at whether exploratory movements are still preserved during gait initiation in the absence of visual information with eyes opened and eyes closed in healthy adults.
