Really pleased with the @M1eccAntennas on my truck while activating VE-1581. 120 contacts in an hour on 40/20. I have used this coil on a tripod and ground spike with equal results. #hamradio #pota VA3KS

Thanks @SilentlakePP for having year round camping! It is a treat to be able to camp during the early winter. No crowds, no bugs and hopefully the bears are enjoying a well deserved nap. Will be back to enjoy the snow soon. Hopefully, more @OntarioParks will expand their season.

Late fall/early winter overnight camping at Silent Lake Provincial Park VE-0389. Had a great shack in the tent. Even had an electrical site for a small heater and a power supply. Almost Glamping for me. VA3KS #parksontheair #hamradio

Starting to get chilly at -3C and a nasty windchill but it was wonderfully sunny. First activation using the @M1eccAntennas SlideWinder coil and pleased with results at VE-5958 Hampton Park. Can’t wait for the snow and winter camping #parksontheair #pota VA3KS

Cycled over to Hampton Park VE-5958. This is the park I usually test different radio configurations since it is only 2km away. Tried the trusty 857 at 20w, ATU100 tuner, into a Wolf River coil and manpack antenna with a 3 metre extension. No complaints #parksontheair #pota

The UK station on 10m only gave me a 5x4 signal using my KX2 and AX1 but the Blue Jays gave me a 5x9 for the peanuts #hamradio #qrp #AmateurRadio

Most radios have come and gone over the years in the shack but the 857 has a permanent place on the bench. For fun, going to try it on my next POTA activation at a local park. About 20 years old and screen has been replaced so good for another 20. #hamradio #pota

@GBPackersNo1Fan I usually do POTA activations with a KX2, G90 or FT991A depending on the type of activation.
