@geogvma 3 days later, another article on Russia creating, sponsoring and promoting white supremacist groups (especially Tommy Robinson) and attacks in the UK.

@PaulSillanpaa@SpaghettiKozak "Wow, the Anti-Plague Research laboratory was studying dangerous pathogens, the secret is suddenly revealed"
The whole conspiracy relies on the name being scary and being unable to understand what labs focused on public health & epidemiology will naturally study.
@Vniversalexport@QuentinWKramer@k_sonin@DNIGabbard And the US funded similar labs in Russia too. There's a certain absurdity about the idea that the US would outsource BW programs to disclosed labs under foreign control in non-allied territory.
@w1_aaron@PostLeftWatch I'm not American, so this discourse is a bit foreign to me, but aren't there lots of white male candidates at every election in the US? I always assumed they were the majority of elected representatives
@Moke1966758@TheIntelFrog@namor987 Because I wasn't asked it.
If you're asking which parts are inaccurate, the map she presents is. It looks like it was made with AI, completely misplaces Kyiv, invents a lab in the tiny village of Cherniv, confuses regions for towns (Zakarpattia, Crimea)..
As is her framing.
@Moke1966758@TheIntelFrog@namor987 You can find maps of labs by biosafety level, they aren't secret and are often audited.
Here's a public doc on the Odesa one she highlights.
The US also funded similar biolabs in Russia under CTR, and these labs work with other labs and culture/strain suppliers abroad.
@DebatenotH@AngelinoIndo@RichardHanania What's funny is that until 2014, Russia also worked with these labs, shared strains with them etc, and the US was also funding Russian biolabs under CTR program.
They just decided to make it a talking point for war propaganda because the term "biolab" sounds scary.
@DebatenotH@AngelinoIndo@RichardHanania The location was already public, these aren't secret in any way. The BSL-3 ones (including the Odesa one she presents as stocking bioweapons) have been internationally audited.
@JetElectricEyes Which is ironic because most white supremacists and fascists in Europe are actually rather vocal about seeing Russia as an "ally". Just ask any of them what they think of RT.
@JetElectricEyes And Robinson was in Moscow with Errol Musk.. It's like they are really trying to not see it for some reason.
He then crashes out and says people are white supremacists and fascists if they say the Russian government also plays a part in cultivating this.
@Radicalchristi5@NaturalHierarch@DNIGabbard Covid has also been studied in Ukraine by the way (as it has in most countries), so don't be too surprised if you see it in a similar document too.
@Radicalchristi5@NaturalHierarch@DNIGabbard SARS has been studied in labs in dozens of countries (and hundreds of labs in the world), as have the other elements which figure here. When an epidemy happens people usually study it to find ways to prevent it from happening again.
@NaturalHierarch@DNIGabbard It seems odd for an official US administration account to post such an amateurish thing.
What's strange is that laboratories which receive US funding do exist, although they are much more boring than what she implies, so she could have just used a real map rather than this.
@NaturalHierarch@DNIGabbard It doesn't make any sense, she should have access to the actual files if they exist, but this looks like it was generated by AI.
Kyiv isn't at all at the right place on that map, "Cherniv" doesn't exist, "Zakarpattia" is a region not a city, same for"Crimea".
