Lt Gen Virendra Vats, DG NCC comprehensively briefed the media on the extensive activities, key achievements and major initiatives of NCC during 2025. The highly interactive session was well appreciated, with media persons engaging directly with NCC cadets and lauding their confidence and clarity.
DG NCC highlighted the NCC expansion roadmap, progressive training reforms with special focus on Drone Technology and Cyber Security , and the proactive role of cadets in Government of India initiatives such as Yuva Aapda Mitra and the Vibrant Villages Programme.
DG NCC also outlined the roadmap for 2026, with enhanced focus on advanced training modules and adventure activities to further strengthen leadership, resilience and national service ethos among cadets.

NCC Officers Training Academy, Kamptee signs a historic MoU with RTM Nagpur University to award university-recognised Diplomas to Associate NCC Officers undergoing Pre-Commissioning Courses. This affiliation enables ANOs to earn Diplomas in Trainers of NCC and Leadership Skills/ Personality Development.

The initiative steered by Maj Gen Upkar Chander and his team at OTA Kamptee and Dr. Madhavi Khode Chaware, I.A.S., Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor & her team at RTM Nagpur University will empower over 1,200 educators annually with formal credentials that honour their role in youth leadership and nation-building.

A transformative step in acknowledging the academic rigour and societal impact of ANO training, recognising Associate NCC Officers as educators, mentors & nation-builders, thereby strengthening NCC’s mission of national development & shaping future-ready citizens.
