On Monday, a16z responded to the CFPB’s request for comment on their proposed rule, “Defining Larger Participants of a Market for General-Use Digital Consumer Payment Applications.” In our filing, we urged the CFPB to more narrowly define the market it seeks to supervise and to clarify that the proposed rule does not cover all digital assets and that certain blockchain technologies are outside the scope of the rule.
