So I've been playing a lot of chess lately and found a way to improve by creating an AI tool. Pretty proud of it 🥹tbh https://t.co/44mP7cCW12

@kinifi Originally the operator was just a string, Operator type is a simple enum wrapper around that, it's initialised at the Lexer/Generator level. In
static var generators: [String: Generator]
Creating a programming language is easier than most people think... and a lot of fun.
Every Monday for the next few weeks, I'll be posting a series of tutorials on creating #programming languages in #Swift
Stay tuned!

We have lots of ways to catch issues:
1. Compiler error
2. Unit test
3. Integration test
4. PR comment
5. Manual QA
6. User feedback
When you find a problem, ask how you can move it up 1 or more levels.
e.g. “How can I turn this PR comment into a compiler error or unit test?”
Final tutorial on "Implementing a Programming Language in Swift" - If Statements
Hopefully I can find the time to create a more complete version in the future

Another tutorial in my series on "Implementing a Programming Language in Swift" is out.
Today let's implement support for functions!

Just released yet another tutorial in my series on "Implementing a Programming Language in Swift"
This time we talk about Functions

@SultanOfCebula It very well could be if you look at the translated lyrics of their Eurovision entry, it could easily be interpreted like a doomsday prophecy with the chorus being god looking at his creation with despair. Which in turn is pretty much the entire Old Testament.
Next tutorial in my series on "Implementing a Programming Language in Swift" is out
This week we talk about how to add Variable Declaration support in our language.

Next up: Functions
Sorry for my inactivity but there are two new tutorials out in my series on "Implementing a Programming Language in Swift"
Part 5: The Main Function - https://t.co/lgzzwU1mgB
Part 6: Parsing Variables - https://t.co/bzK8A9iMP5
Next up: Part 7 - Variable Declaration
Not sure how I feel about the symbol selection for Swift's new raw string feature.
IDK, the rust style they went for just hits as somewhat awkward and non-Swift like.
The next part in my tutorial series on implementing a programming language in swift is out, this time the topic is on implementing a "Parser."

@JacobAWohl@realDonaldTrump@IngrahamAngle (If this is a continuation on your Obama tweet) You do realise that the democrats' USA was considered to be far more right than in most European countries, including the nordic one's you seem to be okay with (Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Iceland)
As a Swift Developer, playing a song by Taylor Swift on Spotify really $!%*s
up your productivity
Ok @Google 🎙stop thinking I'm interesting in what Taylor Swift is doing

Introducing the next part on... how to create "a Programming Language in Swift"
This time I talk about how to define a grammar for our first language
Shoutout to @johnsundell! his podcast with @LouisDhauwe inspired me to start doing this.
