Nobody talks about the little moments that make you stop and think.
Today I randomly ran into my parents at the voting booth. It wasn’t planned. Just one of those reminders that showing up matters. 🇺🇸
Different generations. Different life experiences. Same responsibility.
I’m officially available this weekend…
If we’ve been saying “we need to do lunch sometime,” this is your sign. Let’s make it happen. 💜
Lunch, dessert, catching up, brainstorming life, financial literacy talks, or just escaping reality for an hour… I’m in. Message me! 😊
As a teacher, I understand why districts have to address the Canvas breach seriously because student data matters and schools are responsible for protecting that information. Absolutely take it seriously. But can we stop acting like this was the end of civilization?
Some days as a teacher are hard… especially during mandated state testing days like today. But today? Today reminded me why I do what I do. 💜I have a coloring Bible in my classroom, and I spend a lot of time teaching my students about manners, respect, and how we communicate.
And so it begins… STAAR testing season 🙃Starting the morning at Chick-fil-A with my little man before he heads into what he calls “testing prison”…and honestly… he’s not wrong.
Parents—go look up Texans Take Action Against STAAR.
Because THIS ain’t it. Pray for all.
I’ve been under the weather lately… and if I’m being honest, my body is tired.
But even when life slows you down… your finances don’t.
Bills don’t pause. Responsibilities don’t take a sick day. And that’s exactly why what we’re building matters.
I don’t love missing church for baseball… but I was always taught church isn’t a building—it’s the people.
And right here, in this dugout, I see faith, brotherhood, and prayer.
This picture says it all. 🙏⚾️
And if you ask me…
this looks a whole lot like church. 🙏⚾️
Swimming didn’t just build an athlete…it built discipline, resilience, confidence, and heart. And those are the things that last far beyond the pool.
This mama heart is just sitting here wondering how time went so fast…and feeling so incredibly proud of who she’s becoming.
🎥 Episode 3: Protecting the Dash & Building Your $1,000 Emergency Fund
You don’t have to start big.
Start with $5.
Then $10.
Then keep building.
Because emergencies are not if they happen… they are when they happen.
🎥 #ValEducates – Episode 2: The Dash
Working in hospice taught me something about life that I now teach my junior high and high school students.
Hi everyone, Valerie Smith here.
This is your #ValEducates moment for the day.
