That being said, I cannot sit here with a platform and remain silent. Given everything in the news this past week, I feel a responsibility to speak up. Sexual assault is something 1 in 3 women WORLDWIDE experience in some form. While I am fortunate not to have experienced it myself, I have close friends who have.
To anyone who has survived sexual violence in any form: you are so strong, and I am endlessly proud of your resilience. Please know you are seen, supported, and never alone. I stand with all of you.
