@KrisPatel99 Most of the move on IGV is PLTR now but SaaS is definitely up. In fact they've been quietly climbing for 2 weeks now. Institutions are definitely rotating no matter how big the jumps are in semis.
Potentially there are 10B-25B dollars of Anthropic's revenue that is just distillation. That means that number is the R&D expense of Chinese labs and the FAKE revenue growth of American labs. You can't make this shit up.
It is ironic how Anthropic is touting the Chinese will control the output of their models to spread their regime while Claude is probably the most politically biased model out there.
Sounds to me they are projecting their own thinking.
Anthropic is the enemy.
Prediction: this month of August, we'll have a Deepseek moment 2.0 where the markets will freak out whether the entire AI buildout (including hyperscalers) are at jeopardy due to the inevitable LLM software optimizations DS demonstrated.
Watch out.
@0xbarra@cocktailpeanut Do you work at Cline? I mean if you have insider info then of course I won't try to argue. But that was my experience. When I said performance I just meant subjectively it does better.
@0xbarra@cocktailpeanut That makes no sense. You are telling me the old version DS will be going under the model 0731 (the name of the new DS model)? I tested both models in Cline - 0731 is the new one. It performs far better than regular v4 flash.
@HyperTechInvest@zephyr_z9 Exactly. Imagine AMD cutting price even double digit in this environment, or Sandisk. They can't because they have unprecedented demand. You only do drastic price cuts when there are a few players fighting for a finite demand that needs to be won over.
At the core of our mission is working through how to ensure increasingly powerful AI benefits everyone.
We believe that, at some point in the future, AI acceleration for frontier model development may be so high that the world will need to pace the rate of AI advancement.
We hope to contribute to work led by the U.S. government, alongside other labs and the open-source community, to develop the tools and mechanisms that could make that possible.

@DrTomsLens You can read it both ways. You could also say being hated by the world is demoralising. Most of these people come from high status companies, so they are used to being liked and appreciated.
@jun_song In what technological revolution did a top CEO become so political? He's supposed to work on his technology, not go around saying what governments should or shouldn't do. Now ofc, he does that because he knows damn well what that means for their IPO.
