@HI_Voices Great picture! We had the pleasure of Kenny & Erin's company for dinner a few weeks ago after their St Kilda trip. Always plenty to be said when fishermen get together 😂
@ArianeBurgessHI What support are you giving by sharing mistruths to suit your own green agenda and IGNORING the FACTS that are presented to you. You need to be taken off @Twitter. Your behaviour is dangerous to whole industries, whole communities, and our childrens’ futures.
@mrblairbowman Unfortunately what we are seeing now is Ministers not listening and playing with people’s life’s , destroying businesses and communities along the way, charging on with policy’s that’s clearly not going to work, @MairiGougeon and @MairiMcAllan are doing the same with HPMAs
@ArianeBurgessHI The only success here is your spreading of mistruth to futher your own personal causes, all the while putting the future of entire coastal communities in danger. You're a disgrace to the communities you claim to represent. @ArianeBurgessHI@scottishgreens
@scottishgreens It's irresponsible and misleading to use footage like this, which shows a type of fishing not taking place in Scottish waters, to try and illustrate your scare story to an unsuspecting public. For context: what vessel is this, where was it fishing, and what was it catching?
@scottishgreens None of this footage has relevance to Lamlash Bay, bottom trawling or inshore fisheries. Cuttlefish is a warmer water species that is not abundant N of Bristol channel. It's also non-quota as so fast growing & abundant when conditions right...
This is the scene in many a fishing household over the last few weeks.
Honest, hard-working people having to justify their industry, their practices and their right to earn a living (as many a generation before them earned, very successfully.)
If you haven't yet filled in the consultation, I wouldn't bother, there probably aren't enough hours in the day given the 0000 deadline. You can still email your thoughts though - [email protected] Help us stand up for our coastal communities.

@scotgov how much has this process cost you to date? Would these funds not be better spent on assisting @marinescotland w/ regulating the measures already in place and to deal with the issues which are flagged up weekly, which MS say they have no resource to deal with! #HPMAs
