i keep watching small apps grow to $5k, $10k, $30k MRR
and it is not always about making the product better
sometimes the app stays almost the same
but the way people discover it changes
new angle
new channel
new positioning
distribution can change everything
i used to think like this:
idea → app → marketing
build first
then figure out traffic later
now it feels a bit wrong
because building an app is not the main blocker anymore
the harder part is getting people to care
so maybe the order should be:
distribution → idea → app
vibe coding made building easier
you can make an app in a week
or maybe in a month
even if you are not a real programmer
but then you launch it
and nothing happens
App Store will not save you
web will not save you
without distribution
it is just one more app nobody sees
what's the better strategy?
start something new
or keep improving the old thing?
feels like the hardest part is knowing when to stop
and when to give it one more try
before getting a dog -->
maybe i should track my steps
after getting a dog -->
3x more steps every day without even thinking about it
best motivation
no step tracker needed
