Stopped this vehicle today due to its illegal number plates - it then transpired that the driver only had a provisional licence, had no insurance, and to top it all off, the vehicles MOT had expired and it was SORN.

Safe to say, driver reported and vehicle seized!

On patrol in the Llantwit Fardre area last week in response to growing concerns from residents over vehicle enabled ASB. within minutes, this vehicle was stopped and checks revealed that there was no insurance policy in place.

Last week I joined my S/Sgt on another installment of Op Verus, we were accompanied again by @HayleySMIB.

The driver of this van failed to produce a valid insurance policy at the roadside, so subsequently the vehicle was seized.

Last week we ran another #opverus targeting uninsured drivers and other vehicle offences.

In total we seized 7 vehicles for no insurance, issued 1 section 59 warning, assisted divisional with a disturbance, and gave words of advice to other drivers.

Out with T2 RPU yesterday, this Astra caught my eye, with checks showing it was uninsured.

We stopped it, and further checks confirmed that there was no policy in place.

This driver’s policy expired in January and didn’t automatically renew as they thought it would.

Another morning patrol in the Cynon, another vehicle off the road.

Driver of this Honda had no insurance and to top it off, was driving while disqualified. ☑️reported to court

This vehicle caught my eye while on patrol this morning in the Cynon area, checks showed it was uninsured. Driver unable to provide a valid certificate, quick phone call to @DriveInsured confirms no policy in place.

Night shift Saturday, assisted with multiple breakdowns, 1x TOR issued and vehicle seized after driver failed to produce valid insurance policy at roadside, and 1x reported for numerous traffic offences after a short pursuit and foot chase with help from NPAS and dog unit. 2/2

Two shifts with T2 RPU this week, back to my old ways Wednesday helping with car wash day before stopping a car in Merthyr area showing uninsured, driver produced a temp policy taken out by the passenger during the stop! Won’t fool us that easy, TOR issued.

1x S59 issued for careless/inconsiderate driving
1x positive stop search after a pursuit in neighbouring force area
1x car stopped for light out, driver transpired to be provisional license holder, vehicle seized, TOR issued.

As we start 2025, I just want to reflect on what has been an overall amazing 2024, despite its ups and downs.

I started the year off still in my PSV role with eastern traffic, but slowly working through the application process to my next step forward in the world of policing 1/6
