Excited to share our latest preprint on neurometabolic coupling in the brain! We link effective connectivity with metabolic connectivity & SUVR, revealing how effective-metabolic decoupling ties to glioma location.

Excited to share that our latest paper on #PET#connectivity is finally out 🚀
Applied to #glioma pathology, we highlight the clinical relevance of our within-individual connectivity framework.

Symposium finished today!
Two days full of excellent talks followed by interesting discussions.
At the symposium we set the basis for a nomenclature consensus paper 🧠Stay tuned!
Gee, this is a nice paper. #MetabolicConnectivity with full kinetic modelling by the Padua group @tommaso_volpi@Ale_Unipd et al. Excellent systematic exploration of across vs. within-subj connectivity with microparameters. https://t.co/4M1hafvu69 @ConnectivityPet
Also, for the first time we estimated #across-individual PET connectivity from [18F]FDG kinetic parameters describing the tracer irreversible uptake, delivery and phosphorylation rates.
Today I'll present two of our simultaneous PET/fMRI projects:
-Assessing the relationship between hemodynamic alterations and [18F]FDG PET microparameters in brain gliomas
-Effective-metabolic coupling discriminates brain lesion localisation in patients with gliomas

Happy to be at the @BRAIN2023 opening ceremony!
Today I will present one of our project on the Metabolic Connectivity:
Validation of within-individual Metabolic Connectivity from dynamic [18F]FDG PET data as an imaging biomarker in Gliomas
The invited talks and discussions end Day 3 @GolgiBrain. We thank all the 2022 Golgi School participants and speakers for your contributions and participation.
We also thank Ettore Majorana Foundation and Center for Scientific Culture for the hospitality! @HumanBrainProj
