凱旋門賞では欧州最強クラスの牡馬、古馬、
日本から遠征したメイショウサムソンらを
一瞬の内に葬った不敗神話を紡ぎし
アガカーンの大女帝。

その馬の名は、イスラムの夜空に瞬く
「青き宝石」であり、同時に、
フランス競馬史の常識をすべて無に
帰した「不敗の神話」であった。
ザルカヴァ（Zarkava）。
アガ・カーン4世がその至高の英知を
注ぎ込んで生み出した緑の勝負服の女王は、
デビューから引退に至るまで、
ただの一度も他馬の後塵を拝することなく、
完全無欠のままターフを去った
究極の絶対女王である。
2007年、パリ・ロンシャンの
凱旋門賞ウィークに彗星のごとく現れた
彼女は、マルセルブサック賞を異次元の
末脚で圧勝。その血の咆哮に、
欧州の競馬界は震え上がった。

明けて三歳、フランス牝馬クラシックの
最高峰プール・デッセ・デ・プーリッシュ
（仏1000ギニー）では、ゲートで
大きく出遅れ、絶望的な最後方からの
競馬を強いられる。誰もが「神話の崩壊」を
予感した刹那、彼女が繰り出したのは、
時空を歪めるかのような爆発的な
末脚であった。他馬が止まっている
かのように見えるほどの猛然たる加速で、
全馬をごぼう抜きにして完勝。
続くディアヌ賞（仏オークス）をも
レコードタイムで蹂躙し、彼女は
名実ともにヨーロッパの頂点へと
登り詰めた。

しかし、運命の女神が用意した
真のクライマックスは、その秋の
凱旋門賞であった。並み居る
超一流の牡馬たちを相手に、21世紀の
新女王は牙を剥いた。最後の直線、
馬群を割って突き抜けたその姿は、
美しくも冷徹な死神の如き殺気を
帯びていた。他馬を瞬く間に
置き去りにし、1993年アーバンシー
以来となる「牝馬による凱旋門賞制覇」の
偉業を、衝撃の不敗のまま
達成してみせたのである。
わずか七戦七勝。そのあまりにも
完璧で、あまりにも短すぎる現役生活は、
群衆に「もっと彼女の走る姿を見たかった」
という、終わりのない飢餓感を植え付けた。

引退後、繁殖牝馬としても凱旋門賞馬
ザルカヴァを母に持つ名馬（ザラクなど）を
送り出し、その至高の遺伝子の偉大さを
証明し続けた。傷一つない純白の伝説のまま、
競馬史の深淵にその名を刻んだザルカヴァ。
彼女がロンシャンの直線で見せた
あの鳥肌の立つような異次元の輝きは、
今も世界競馬史の頂点で、決して
色褪せることのない奇跡の光を
放ち続けている。

🚨 Ford will return as a full factory manufacturer entrant in the World Rally Championship from 2028!

M-Sport will design, build and run a brand new Ford rally car based on a yet-to-be-released passenger vehicle for the 2029 WRC season. In 2027 and 2028 it will run Fiesta Rally2s upgraded to Rally1-spec via a homologated kit 🔧

From 2028, M-Sport's entry will transition to Ford Racing, the first time the Blue Oval has been an outright WRC factory team since 2012.
