even before i learned about shifting it was always a concept i dreamt about, like there was a sort of calling i guess? to another place? that there *is* more out there? and /historically/ it’s been found in religious texts for far, far longer.

@enturamazon honestly true! aside from those few moments being put on blast, for the most part community has started to regulate itself again after the big boom in like 2020-2021 which is nice. those that are meant to find it will come across it eventually anyway

@shiftessa and even if it’s somehow proven to just be lucid dreaming (unlikely, given the stark differences like the ability to read, full senses, continuity, etc), it still feels /real/ and makes plenty of people happy + able to explore things they couldn’t before.

@shiftessa RIGHT it’s so stupid because first of all that’s not how schizophrenia nor psychosis works. second of all, for many (myself included) it’s a spiritual/religious thing even if they discount scientific research that’s gone into it, and third of all, it’s not harming anyone!!
