@OttawaCitizen Canadian fans pay his salary. He should remember that when he gets cosy with the President who is working to destroy the Cdn economy. And when he talks about hatred toward Canada’s team. Not only is he ignorant. He has zero class. And zero respect for 🇨🇦
@stphnmaher I get that the first gold medal in men’s hockey in 46 years is a big deal for them. And you are right that many of them are just hockey players, seemingly unaware of how they are being used. And that kind of ignorance is why Trump got elected. I don’t give them a pass.
@Newsweek The Cdn players were disappointed but class acts. The US men FINALLY win a gold medal again in overtime after a 46-year drought. And then their president posts a video of him beating up Cdn hockey players. And who is behaving badly?
@NateSilver538 Don’t be smug. Canads is not the country that is falling apart. The US men’s hockey team may have won their first gold medal in 40+ years but the US itself has lost the respect of the world. And is quickly losing its democracy. 🇨🇦 will be fine. 🇺🇸? Not so much.
@TorontoStar We all hate him. Gudas just ruined Crosby’s Olympics. And it’s maybe the last time Crosby plays in the Olympics. Boorish thug. May the hockey gods have their revenge on him. And may they be without mercy.
@NBCOlympics With the US engaged in an unjustified trade war that is costing thousands of Cdn jobs and financial hardship across the country, I'm looking to this Canadian champion to make things right - at least on the ice. With Sidney Crosby, who needs Jon Hamm?
@Charlie_Senack 4.policy makers need a realistic strategy for the downtown that also addresses the issue of abandoned and derelict building. - somerset house & 330 gilmour come to mind.
“Researchers and policymakers have lacked an analytical framework and robust evidence to explain how health and gender outcomes can contribute to conflict and influence peace.”
@valpercival writes on the intersectionality of gender, health, and conflict: https://t.co/SqNYu33nLh
"Declines in health and gender outcomes can further entrench societies in vicious cycles of organized violence, whereas efforts to improve health equity and gender equality help build and maintain peaceful societies."
@melander_erik@UU_Peace@UCDP@TheLancet Thank you! We benefitted from your excellent research on the relationships between gender & conflict/peace - a great foundation upon which we tried to build.
