I've decided to stop scrolling and posting on Twitter/X for the foreseeable future. I can't shake the garbage algorithm here, and it just keeps getting worse.

Online spaces, for me, have always been to escape from IRL and not to constantly be bombarded with absurd political takes, debates and nonsense. Not to mention the bot issues. I just want to learn about space, science and game things and chat with a like-minded community.

Twitter used to be a good space for discussion on things I cared about, and it was actually quite amazing to use during CitizenCon.

Today, I have to go through 5-10 alt-right propagandist tweets before I even get to anything related to StarCitizen or from those I follow - despite always blocking and muting accounts I don't want to see.

It won't end, so I'm calling it and uninstalling this from my phone and signing off indefinitely.

There is something seriously broken with social media of today and those who control it. It's sad.

Anywho, I'll be over on BlueSky where the #StarCitizen community is flourishing and growing everyday. It's been amazing over there, very reminiscent of the old internet.

RIP Twitter.
