A simulationist and clinician focused on improving outcomes during resuscitation and delivering care in austere environments. #paramedic#FOAM#BloodyHellSALAD
I present to you, the Blood Hell SALAD.
We're working on the recipe to share, but we used #TrueClot from @LunaInc_Labs.
A huge shout out to @jducanto for filming and allowing us to really muck up the airway.

⏱️ Every second counts in an emergency, especially for airway management. 🎧Scott Weingart of @emcrit discuss preparation in intubation scenarios and explore the EMCrit Resus SCRAM Dump Kit.

Hot off the press from Chadason et al. & @ProtectedAirway
Techniques for simulating airway contamination during cadaveric airway training.
Kudos to the first author paramedic Chadason! @le_chadd

@BMorshediMD @hashimzMD Sure.
But get rid of AEMT, make EMT the AEMT scope and make it a year of school.
Our current EMT training model can’t sustain endless additions to the EMT scope safely.
BREAKING: The @CARESRegistry, the only national data collection tool that connects pre-hospital cardiac arrest data with hospital outcomes, will receive $23.85 million in grant funding over the next five years from the CDC. 🙌https://t.co/rRqesIypab
@le_chadd One thing we don’t talk about is that it’s really like three reports.
The first report to the whole room. Age, story, what you did. Short and just what they need to get to work.
Then to the attending doc or trauma surgeon, I’ll add in some color, answer questions…
Unpopular opinion, I prefer the side rails ⬇️ on the stretcher (left). Putting them down is a task done on every call. It's more efficient and one less task to perform.
Enhancing patient care and provider performance through intentional design.
Providers are able to gain access to oxygen through the outside of the backpack without need to rearrange for patient transfer.

I’ve done a lot of simulation around #SALAD and contaminated airway management, but I’ve never seen anything like what @UNMEMSA paramedics students get to do.
Taking training to the extreme so that real-life seems easy in comparison.
🌟 Huge thanks to @Glasgow_Times for spotlighting the adoption of Paediatric SCRAM™ by @RCHGlasgow. This achievement follows an in-depth study on refining paediatric emergency airway management.
