earth without art is just eh / more fandoms, books, shows, movies, idols, characters & otps than i could mention ♡

ive heard some absurd takes before & like its iwtvtwt everything's been said before at some point im sure but with all that being said ive NEVER heard anyone say akasha being black is antiblack. these people are hallucinating
in the lead-up to her casting being announced, literally everyone i saw on here was saying they better cast a black woman lol. the only people i saw wanting otherwise were like, racists on reddit 😭
these people expose themselves everytime while trying to defend the anti-blackness of the iwtv/tvl fandom. imagine trying to invent this narrative when aaliyah has been the most popular depiction of akasha to exist since 2002
I’m harping on it but I hate when fandoms manufacture discourse so they can get hit tweets that eventually lead Black viewers receiving hate. Esp since Akasha is used in Black fandom art ALL THE TIME. Ignoring REAL complaints of antiBlackness to do this bullshit is annoying
@AtlantisFell The only post I saw was about her writing being handled well (which should be a Fair concern after this season) but no it’s much more fun for them to be condescending to Black viewers
People on iwtvtwt are saying Akasha and black characters should be allowed to be evil and I've yet to see *any* popular post arguing that Akasha/black characters being evil is racist and shouldn't happen. It's almost as if they're generating fake discourse to bash black ppl.
"the tale shaped to present lestat as a monster that had to be killed" for people who root for the characters' right to be the monsters they really don't enjoy when their favourite character is being a monster
