My heart is bleeding today.
I am at Rurii Polling Centre in Ol Kalou, and I have just witnessed something I will never forget.
A sick elderly man insisted on voting before going back to the hospital.
He could not even afford transport.
His children & neighbors carried him to the polling station because he was too weak to walk.
After casting his vote, they are now carrying him back.
This level of commitment to democracy has deeply moved me.
The determination, sacrifice, and sense of civic duty I have witnessed here is overwhelming.
Good afternoon @WorldBankGroup@WorldBankAfrica .
Kenya is broke, Kenya has no money for development.
Can you lend us another Ksh 1T?
We will talk with your friends @IMFNews to lend us something small to service it with.
Scenes from Ol Kalou as early as 5am.
Residents say that they have been promised 5,000 each for every vote for the wheelbarrow!
Proboxes protected by contingents of police are strategically stationed with agents of the yellow fever having sacks of money!
But, it seems nothing is deferring the residents from sending a message of having declined the yellow fever from Mt. Kenya!
Indeed, the reckoning day for the monkey to kiss the sack and go to sayuni comes all trees become slippery!
What we are seeing now is what was predicted in the Waki Commission Report, the Kriegler Commission Report, the Kofi Annan Mediation — Kenya National Dialogue and Reconciliation (KNDR, 2008–2013) and the TJRC Report (2008–2013). We must stop this before it gets out of hand
Dear natives, receive greetings from Rurii, Ol Kalou in Ruto's Police State. No there is no war, it's just a small by-election the state intends to rig.
The scars of the 2007/08 post-election violence remain fresh. Kenya must not allow the growing culture of goonism to drag the nation back to that dark chapter. Ruto should ensure we never return there.

I think we have forgotten what happens when political leaders and their cronies decide to use violence to win elections.
We are letting the plan or our deaths again as we watch.
The signs are right in our faces, the players? The same people! Arap Sang works in statehouse...
