@niuqapimiar@rohanarezel The problem with these is they behave like electric motorcycles. They go fast, they have extended batteries, they go on the road and the sidewalk and bike lanes. They don’t even pedal.
@shawngorham I don’t see the harm in renting. Most people live in a house for five years or so anyway and with how amortization works, it’s mostly just interest they are paying anyway.
@Martyupnorth Meh why do I even care anymore. I’m almost middle aged, government will continue to tax us and spend it like they assume they know better than us.
I just want to live comfortably and enjoy myself.
@Megadonken@JimChuong This is a good point. It’s forced savings for the average person. But, if you have the discipline, you can generally return more by investing.. plus the added flexibility.
@DrewVento Yeah I found a good barber and I get a cut every ~3 weeks. $38 + tax + $5 tip ≈ $50.
Kinda sucks but the alternative is either cut it less and look ratty or go to greatclips and look ratty.
@sookemonitor@GlobalBC What’s your argument against pipelines?
We have product, and we need to get it out. Not allowing tankers is a huge mistake, too.
@bdhaliwa1@SteveSaretsky Ya, but at least a dozen consulting firms that donated to the NDP are getting multi-million dollar contracts. Think of how much value they add!
