I have a very similar nose side profile and yeah I never got positive comments on my nose for a long time and still only rarely. people don't like slightly down turned noses. he has a great side profile so I don't get it either. people can be so mean about noses💀

Other than that, obviously I see some mean people around but you need to go to goth events like concerts and clubs to see actual goths in their habitat to see what's happening. that's where you'll see true community and it's awesome

This is definitely a real phenomenon, but I see lots of people in replies saying young people have ruined alternate subcultures but that let's me know these people aren't active in any scenes. you would know that young goths are heavy on the music and politics if you were active

When I was in high school "Goths" were some of the nerdiest and generally transgressive people around, but at some point, it seems like it shifted into an "aesthetic" that normie hot people put on like a costume.

the direct pushback to that is young goths heavily pushing the music and politics and that's what a lot of people here are probably thinking is them being bullies. a lot of people who get told they won't be accepted in the scene if they're conservative get really upset.
