no one talks about the personality shift as you get older. where you no longer want to be impressive, you want to be rested. you want to be regulated and completely unavailable to anything that drains you

If you gotta get in a relationship for someone to do that for you , you got way bigger problems. You don't need a relationship right now
Most ppl don’t realise: You can be technically honest & still manipulate the entire reality. Omission of the truth isn’t honesty. We applaud transparency but rarely question the quiet. Some ppl say 90% of the truth while deliberately hiding the 10% that would change a decision.
If a person creates space between us, I just let them be..if they never come to me & explain what the issue is, we’ll probably never talk again because I really just let people be. I’m fine with losing anyone who’s ok with losing me. I fought too hard for a lot of relationships.
I had a client who said something so true today. He said that he found out that it costs over $500k to house a person on Rikers for a year (it’s true). But then he was like, if they gave me half of that, they’d never see me here ever again.
In low-income neighborhoods, bars, liquor stores, casinos, lottery tickets, fast food, etc., stick out.
In the high-income neighborhoods, it’s yoga studios, health food stores, banks, business centers, etc.
Society is designed to keep u stuck where you’re at—don’t fall for it.
