To me, NewJeans are a unisex group with young women as a target audience. They are the epitome of girlhood and nostalgia, but they leave room for the androgynous and cool feeling. They don’t lure male audience, they make them go “Ayy there she goes!” In the best way possible

I don’t know how to explain this, but NewJeans never really felt like a typical “cute girl group” to me. They had this boyish, rebellious, effortlessly cool energy, something you’d more often associate with a boy group than a conventional female K-pop group
