Dulu akh LDRan sama pacar. Aku di Jawa, dia di Sumatera. Suatu malam aku lagi stres berat, kerjaan numpuk, badan juga mulai sakit. Aku cuma chat dia, "Aku capek banget, pengen tidur aja." Jam 11 malam dia telepon. Suaranya pelan, sedikit serak. "Tidur yang nyenyak ya," katanya. "Besok cerita lagi." Besok paginya aku bangun, ada pesan suara dari dia. Panjangnya 45 menit. Di rekaman itu, dia bacain buku favoritku dari halaman pertama.

Sesekali dia berhenti, batuk pelan, atau bilang, "Maaf ngantuk, ini halaman 24 ya..." Kadang dia salah baca nama tokoh, lalu dia ulang sambil ketawa kecil. Dia bilang di akhir rekaman, "Aku nggak bisa peluk kamu dari sini. Tapi mudah-mudahan suaraku bisa jadi selimut buat kamu." Aku nangis di kamar kos jam 6 pagi.

this scene is so underrated. the intimacy is in the little things. hannah doing something so simple just to make garrett smile after the awful night he had. no big speeches, just quietly showing up for each other. one of my favorite hannahgarrett moments.
