@JackHHLin I work for a truss manufacturer - primary driver for us building precision areas like that is framers. They want EVERYTHING prebuilt, are quick to backcharge if they feel they have to do more work.

@AlexGrimm @2x4caster @TheWoodNews Short answer is “yes” lol. All of the above sheathing wise, majority being OSB, shipped applied. Other thing re: SYP studs is that increasingly we are seeing it spec’d by engineers anyway b/c of struc values. Gives us some “cover” if someone objects as well

@2x4caster @TheWoodNews Speaking as a wall panel manufacturer: Necessity has had us using SYP even as studs for several months now and truthfully no pushback from end users. It’s not as bad as the stigma it has gotten suggests.

@2x4caster @TheWoodNews We are primarily MF, shipping anywhere from 50-200 miles from our facility. I will say there is probably a difference there in the sense that a MF developer isn’t quite as “concerned with the finished product” as say a SF custom builder. 1/2
