This book had potential to be amazing, but towards the end it felt like the characters were written by someone else?

Some of the big arcs didn’t feel justified and the constant hand holding of what happened earlier in the book fell flat for me.

Wow, this book was great. Anyone who’s a fan of academia and grimdark settings would love this book. I definitely recommend to people if they haven’t experienced Jay Kristoff’s writing, which is so good. Loses a star because it’s only just begun.

This book was cool and I enjoyed the way it was written but it didn’t really go anywhere?

I’m guessing I’m so used to novellas completing their story in a big arc, but as this is the 1st out of 8, maybe I need to get more used to the world?

The start and the ending was good, but the middle dragged I feel like. Every time Vin was in a dress, I was internally screaming for her take it off! Within context, because I wanted her to kill people and do stuff with her powers etc.
