The feeling of losing my Aunt Dolly is beyond what feels right to share. Our most sacred moments were private and they’ll stay there behind the stage, beneath the glamour & between our hearts.
What I KNOW is Dolly would want me to feel it, write a song about it, and then continue on and be strong. I have an angel by my side. I always have. One of our last conversations was about music and metamorphosis. 🦋
I will always love her and want to make her proud. My heart breaks for the world, her family and friends who will miss her deeply. We’re in this loss together and we will see her in all of the most beautiful things. 💖 @dollyparton
I'm officially announcing my campaign for governor of Kentucky.
To every Kentuckian who’s been fighting for a better shot at the life you were promised, keep fighting, and I'll never stop fighting for you.

The Obergefell decision wasn't just about marriage. It was about dignity. It was about the simple idea that every American deserves to be treated equally under the law.
That's worth celebrating – and worth protecting.
Thank you to everyone who attended our amazing rally with @AndyBeshearKY today despite the rain - the energy was incredible at the Burl, and it’s clear we have the momentum we need to win this.
Let’s flip this seat in November.
I’m proud to officially announce I’m running for re-election to Midway City Council.
There’s more to be done. More roads to pave, more sidewalks to put in, and more investment in the community.
It’s important to continue representing Midway, young folks, & the LGBTQ community
When I worked for Governor Beshear, I learned what it looks like when a leader actually puts results over rhetoric.
Today, I'm honored to have his endorsement.
I’m absolutely humbled and grateful to be the Democratic nominee for Kentucky’s 6th congressional district. Thank you to my fellow Democrats for a hard-fought race that was focused on the issues.
As a first-time candidate, so many people counted us out, but together, we built a campaign from scratch, brought together a team of volunteers, supporters and voters all across this district, and then, we won.
I’ve spent my career helping people, regardless of political party - in the classroom, in the Navy, and as a federal prosecutor fighting corruption. I’m ready to hit the ground running in Washington to root out what’s broken and make that corrupt city actually work for people here in Kentucky. That’s the representation that Central Kentucky has long deserved in Congress.
That representation absolutely cannot be Ralph Alvarado, a professional politician who stands in lockstep with Matt Bevin and the corrupt politicians in Washington, and someone who will cut your healthcare and increase costs on working families, all to fund tax breaks for millionaires, billionaires, and his wealthy California donors.
Tonight, we celebrate. Tomorrow, we get to work. This win shows we can prove the establishment class wrong. We’ll do it again in November when we flip this seat.
Proud to support my good friend, @ZachDemboKY for Congress! Since he first told me he was running for Congress, I’ve been in his corner cheering him on.
He’s exactly what we need for Kentucky and in Washington. Can’t wait to cast my vote for a true public servant!
Yesterday, 57,380 Kentuckians used early voting - 33,604 Republicans, 23,150 Democrats and 626 Independents. Over the first 2 days, early voting numbers are up 75% (!) over last cycle. Polls are open today and Tuesday - find your locations and hours at https://t.co/TUq8Ns6mgA.
Here’s what former Transportation Secretary and Lexington Mayor Jim Gray said about why he’s supporting our campaign:
Continued to be so honored by his support as the team continues to grow in advance of May 19.
