The challenge of software dev isn’t only about *how* to create, but also what and why to create; what biz problem it solves. Saying AIs can replace all human devs - because they can code - is like saying construction workers can replace all architects - because they can build
Another change that’s happened over the last few weeks is ChatGPT will no longer look at and provide feedback regarding any possibly “medical” images. Last month I broke my finger and it was happy to look at X-ray (and was right). No longer ☹️
I convinced ChatGPT 4o that Black Holes do not exist. I then asked it to convince Gemini of the same thing, based on the same rationales. Here is their debate (I'd say ChatGPT won, but draw your own conclusions)

I seem to have found #ChatGPT ‘s achilles heel — guitar tabs. Ask it to create literally anything. It will try and fail spectacularly, in one way or another
watching my Bengals live, doing what it takes to keep CBS from ruining the Bucs game ill watch later on DVR #NFLStopScrollingScores - we all have the Internet!!! @NFL @CBSSports
@elonmusk can we do something about the way BT devices behave? mine isn’t “priority” but the car will still takeover, even when i’m using wired, plugged in headphones. quite embarrassing on business calls when suddenly they are talking to my girlfriend pulling out of the garage
@joelaberger yes this experience is moving me in that direction. but the irony. they are planning to land on mars but can’t manage things like the postal mail system
just made my first DIY batch of hand sanitizer which turned out really good. approx 2.5:1 alcohol to aloe. since I happened to already have pure ethyl alcohol, i could get away with a larger % aloe, and still be very strong, than if i were using a diluted isopropyl
Every cashier at every store: “would you like to save 20% today by signing up for our free, mega rewards program?”
Me: “no, i think i’d prefer to keep our relationship casual”
@frioux interesting, i think you’re right that was the same inspiration for me too. i actually sat next to him at arrival dinner. he also makes his own hard cider, but the pens are plenty of an addition to my life for now 😜. i got the Black Forest ultra fine nib ($10) so far i love it
just out of curiosity, since i never owned (or even ever wrote with one before) — i decided to buy a fountain pen. And i have to admit, it does make for a more nuanced and fulfilling writing experience. i can’t quite put my finger on it, but it is a joy to write with
@frioux i bought a notebook with supposedly “good” paper (already pictured, and i do like it) but as this is all new to me, if you have any paper suggestions, i’m all ears! @frioux - should i assume you are already a fan/user of fountain pens? i had no idea
@vanstyn@PerlRapidApp Fantastic video. Absolutely love what you've done with RapidApp (which I just found yesterday). Will try to use it in a current webapp I'm writing.
