A very annoying thing that happens now is that people who know nothing about a subject will "consult" AI, get the wrong information, and then try to "correct" you on a subject you actually know something about. They treat AI like the Oracle of Delphi
🌱 EXTREMELY ROBUST SCALLIONS 🌱
do NOT scroll past the scallions. these are extremely robust. i did not seek them out, they were placed before me.
the produce misters had just run. the bundles were tight. the whites were WHITE. good fortunes await.
🧅 repost within 24 hours: robust scallions
🧅 repost within 1 hour: robust scallions + minor windfall
🧅 do not repost: limp scallions. flaccid stalk. the celery will look at you and it will know.
a man in Fresno scrolled past. his scallions went to seed the same evening. his dog stopped making eye contact.
a woman reposted immediately. she found $40 in a coat. her scallions have not wilted since March.
I AM NOT SAYING IT’S THE SCALLIONS. I’m saying look at them. good fortunes await. 🌱
The ONLY people that like Standard Time are boomers that get up at 5am & in bed by 8:30pm
The rest of us like to actually do things outside at night after work & want more daylight at night. We don’t care if it’s dark while we are at work. We want Permanent Daylight Savings time
I'm super confused at the "circadian rhythm" comments regarding DST
Are people really all waking up after sunrise year round? Sunrise could be like, 7:30 when I grew up. I was up around 6 in high school?? If anything it helps because it gets dark closer to bed time
Fuck it - I’m engaging
Who cares? It’s the morning, thug it out, get to work, get to school and move on. Sun in the morning Does Not Matter.
Having light longer in the afternoons is far more useful bc people do things then. I will DIE on the hill of permanent daylight time!
@LinkofSunshine if I had it my way we would switch to permanent DST and then add another, separate summer DST so that the sun sets even later. but genius is often not recognized in its own time
this reminds me of when i went back to studying after covid - we didn't get access to the workshop or labs for the whle year because "we need to prioritise the last cohort, they haven't had any time yet"
then the next year we didn't get access because "we need to prioritise the next cohort, they're behind bc they didn't do any studying during covid" so my year all got shit grades and never got to do our projects
calling it that this will happen to our generation w/ pensions
I just want to put a big flag out here: I LIVE WAY UP NORTH AND THIS IS GOOD BECAUSE IT MEANS IT WON'T BE DARK WHEN I GET OFF WORK. WHO CARES ABOUT THE MORNING
I think getting home from my 9-5 and its pitch black only allowing me to do things in sunlight during the weekend is so much infinitely worse then having it be not as light when im inside getting ready for work
Really don’t understand how people think this is worse than it getting dark before even getting a chance to get home from work.
And the kids going to school in the dark doesn’t hold weight either - elementary school starts before sunrise for months in Atlanta
@stargazermellu No this is better for us, I am up late regardless of what time the sun sets. I prefer having daylight to do things after work and this will make that happen more often.
Europeans get mad when people say "I'm going to Europe" but if an Aussie says that, trust that you will see them in about 15 different European countries over the next 3 months
