@neteyamur_ YES it feels like the whole ‘human + na’vi harmony’ trope is wayy too obvious with how theyre forcing it on neytiri😭 i wish the films could just be na’vi centred instead of human/war ughhh i mourn what avatar could be

@asherah_ra do u mean like a varang/jake ship or varang just seduces jake like she does quaritch? i think in theory it sounds cool, but it would get difficult quick since jeytiri is so strong which is y i wouldve wanted to see neteyam fall in that trope. but true neytiri going would be cool

hot take: instead of quaritch/varang’s romance that felt predictable+cut short by repetitive war tropes, avatar3 should’ve been set years later, mangkwan vs sully centred & deepened the lore away from war. imagine a toxic version of jeytiri with one of the sully characters 👀

@Foxfire240461 @neteyamur_ -when jake asks if shes ashamed that her kids make mistakes because of the human in them, she literally says yes😭 neteyam was her only child who acted more na’vi, looked full na’vi and therefore never made ‘human mistakes’. obviously that sparks a nerve.

@Foxfire240461 @neteyamur_ my point was never who she loved more. but there is nuance to his death which is he acts& looks just like neytiri. neteyam was the more cultural one who mirrored her, his death is extra cruel because neytiri sees herself in him. its not about love, but even after neteyams death-

@moonnymphnebula literally, i like the idea in theory but when she became just his sidekick in evil it became bland. i think it lacks that toxicity ironically😭 like yeah they use each other but that’s basic. i really wanna see a unique trope w/ them or a mangkwan. idk what, but not predictable

@moonnymphnebula -and also yeah it would’ve been cool to see Jake’s reaction. in my ideal writing, it would’ve been a different siblings death, and Neteyam feels like he failed protecting and when a Mangkwan seduces him (like Varang to Quaritch) he falls in deep w/ it and rebels/‘sins’ 😮‍💨

@moonnymphnebula 100%, removing him ‘for Lo’aks development/plot’ seems lazy when they knew the mangkwan were going to be introduced next film and its clear the audience loved avatar 1 for Jeytiri, this couldve been a perfect opportunity to do something similar while introducing a new clan

@moonnymphnebula omg ur the 1st person who ive seen have the same thoughts as me😯 i feel like i never hear anyone talk about neteyam; the perfect golden child falling for an enemy clan member but it fits his psyche 100% and would be a cool plot. the fic im writing is legit this cuz i love it sm

@moonnymphnebula i hope so but kiri’s with spider and lo’ak with tsireya so im not sure how who it’d be but def excited for the time jump and hopefully less focus on war🤞🏼 whats your predictions??
