in most circumstances, he’s really not the type to get extremely angry to the point of an outburst. he’s aware of lohen’s risky fighting style and that something could go wrong, but he trusts lohen. he trusts

just before the door swings shut, he sees lohen’s hand tremble and curl around empty air. then it turns into a fist, soon disappearing from view as he walks away.

and just like that, the sting of loss has never been sharper.
