I defended my PhD last week!
The main focus of the talk was my recent work on fast sketching on GPUs via co-design, FlashSketch

I’m attending ICCV 2025 in Honolulu, Hawaii 🌴🏄! Will be presenting our work, “Quanta Neural Networks”, at the workshop on computer vision with single-photon cameras (today!), and at Tuesday afternoon’s poster session (Exhibit Hall I, poster #468).

At #ECCV2024, we presented Minimalist Vision with Freeform Pixels, a new vision paradigm that uses a small number of freeform pixels to solve lightweight vision tasks. We are honored to have received the Best Paper Award!

Don't have the right camera for the job? No Problem here is SoDaCam. It provides the functionality of numerous imaging systems including: exposure bracketing, flutter shutter cameras, video compressive systems, event cameras, and even cameras that move during exposure. Completely software based and needs no extra hardware! by @varun19299 and team from @UWMadison
SoDaCam provides reinterpretable cameras at the granularity of photons, from photon-cubes acquired by single-photon devices. Photon-cubes represent the spatio-temporal detections of photons as a sequence of binary frames, at frame rates as high as 100 kHz. Simple transformations of the photon-cube, or photon-cube projections.

What if a camera could *see* the tiny (microscopic) surface vibrations of musical instruments as a musician plays them?
Or a chips bag's vibrations caused by a person speaking in the room?
Our new @CVPR (Oral) paper has the answers!

Most data is processed by algorithms, but compressors (eg JPEG) are for human eyes.
🤓Our fix: formalize lossy compression that ensures perfect downstream predictions

🎉 Reproducibility Reports are LIVE!
Papers now link to reproducibility reports. Alongside code, this is a new signal for how reproducible a paper's findings are.
Thanks to RC2020 participants, reviewers and ACs for their hard work!
