47, single (no women for about 15 years) .Full time carer. Living on £ 62.70 / week carers allowance. Disabled wheelchair bound mum. Stepdad has stomach cancer.
@SkyHelpTeam We're leaving before even joining. Sky is a joke, terrible service. Virgin Media maybe more expensive but they resolve the issue in minutes, not 4 hours.
@SkyHelpTeam Supposed to be having sky fitted tomorrow afternoon. However after 12 failed attempts to register and get the pac number. Suspect sky intends to rip off my 74yr old disabled, wheelchair using mother. The most unfriendly user processes ever.
@SkyHelpTeam Interesting that sky helps solution is to go online and look for customer services. Doesn't matter now after nearly four hours of no help at all. She's decided to cancel the contract and stick with virgin media. Had enough of being messed around by sky's minions.
@SkyHelpTeam so basically we're looking at breach of contract, disability discrimination, emotional distress of a senior citizen, money through fraudulent means, don't know what the lawyers will say. But pretty sure the press will be interested.
@SkyHelpTeam 6pms and still no further forward. Virgin Media responded immediately as always, yet with sky it's rapidly approaching 2 hours now and still no further forward. Is sky always like this, or is this attrocious level of service reserved just for the disabled 74yr old customers.
@SkyHelpTeam The issue is 12 attempts to link the old mobile phone number with the account, and get a pac. And 12 sorry information not recognised and sorry unable to process at this time. The only thing easy about sky is how they take the bank account details.
@bbcouch So forgive me for not giving a monkeys about the government, carers that have not had a day off in 6 weeks, etc. Try managing without help or a break for 13 years before starting to whine.
@bbcouch leaving us with no hot water or heating. I have not had a day off or holiday for 13 years. My mum has no dreams. My dream is to save enough money for a cheap little car as driving mum's mobility car I have lost all my no claims bonus.
@bbcouch of stomach cancer two years ago. Since then I have cared for my mum 24 /7 as a full time carer. I earn £ 67 a week carers allowance, and £ 88. A fortnight top up. Mum has a mobility car she pays for. But other than that we have no assistance at all. Today our boiler died
@bbcouch in a wheelchair. The council she dedicated her life to gave us a wooden ramp covered in chicken wire for wheelchair access. The stairlift, and bathlift we had to pay for out of our own pockets. My step father and I were left to care for my mum. Until my step father died
@bbcouch my girlfriend at the time was cheating on me with three other guy's at the same time. Around the same time I had to have a minor operation, and died on the operating table, obviously I was revived. Then around 12 years ago my mum had a stroke and became disabled and
@bbcouch Just a little bit background and info from a full-time carer. I used to be a bus driver, my mum worked for social services and my step father was a labour Councillor. I was arrested and convicted for a public order offence I didn't do, lost my job, and my
@O2 After 35 years with o2, getting so annoyed with them messing me about lately that thinking of changing my network. Told me my o2 login details were wrong, so reset my password. Only to be told that my mother's maiden name was wrong. Finally reset my password to be told
@BethesdaSupport number of attempts before logging into creation club today. 1. Number of attempts before logging into mods site today. 64. This week attempts to log in Creation club. 4, mod site. 364. Even the infamously bad bethesda. Can't be that incompetent
@BethesdaSupport strange that logging into the mods site which is free to use usually takes anywhere between 20 minutes and 8 hours to do, like today. And yet logging into the creation club site that you pay bethesda for usually takes between 10 - 35 seconds. Suspicious.
